Blaine, Coby and I visited the Luberon Valley in Provence, France. If you have read the book "A Year in Provence", this is where it takes place. We were there in November. This area is famous for growing lavender and flowers for perfumes. They also grow lots of grapes. We were there in November so the flowers were gone. It was an enchanting place. And I thought I wouldn't like France.... hum.. who knew! I would really like to go back in July when the lavender is in bloom.

Coby and I looking at the village of Ansouis. It was Saturday of holiday weekend there so it was really quiet.

In Ansouis, we visited an old chateau - started in the 1200's. I am really glad that I don't live in those old cold stone buildings. Here we are looking down on the street that goes up to the chateau.

Coby exploring the village of Lourmarin.

Hilltop town of Roussillon. It has beautiful red hills surrounding it. They built on the top of the hills for defense.

Coby reloading the camera. Between the three of us we took over 2,000 pictures on this little trip. Let us know when you have a little time. We'd be glad to show them ALL to you.
I have missed hearing from all of you on this blog! Marianne
