
For those of you that are interested in genealogy, I found something fun and interesting this week. Grandpa Scott's grandmother was Lydia Mary Honeysett who was born in England. In the 1851 census, Lydia's father James, along with his parents James and Harriet, is listed as living at Bray's Hill, Ashburnham, Sussex.
This is a picture of the stable on Bray's Hill. It has been converted into a self-catering cottage that is rented out. This wouldn't have been where they lived. They were very poor and the place they lived is probably long gone. But it is fun to see something that they may have seen everyday.
